Discovering your life purpose is a journey into knowing yourself. Your life has been guiding you to your purpose all along.  It’s just matter of knowing what the signposts are.

Here’s a fun acronym to help you see and remember the steps to purpose:

P = Passions: What do you love to do? What makes time fly by? What is important to you? Your purpose will be aligned with what you are passionate about.

U = Utilizing your natural talents and learned skills. What comes naturally to you that may not to other people? What skills have you acquired that you enjoy using?

R = Realize that you have value to offer the world, and that what you offer and how you offer it must be in alignment with the top values you hold. What are your top five values?

P = Personality: What are your personality preferences? How do you re-charge your energy? Are you outgoing and social or more of an introvert? How do you make decisions?

O = Overcome limiting beliefs. Even when you know what you want to create, you can be stopped by subconscious and conscious beliefs that limit what you think you are able to be, do and have. Be aware of your self talk to get idea of how you are thinking at the deepest levels. Then, turn those thoughts around.

S = Synchronicities: Pay attention to the “coincidences” and synchronicities that occur in your life. They often have important clues to guide you on your path to purpose. What other life events have been meaningful—both good and bad?

E = Expand your vision and keep it in front of you. See if you can enlarge upon your vision of what you want to create. It needs to be big enough that you feel excited by it. Then, imagine it with joy and act on the steps you are inspired to take to create it.
