When you tune into your soul’s purpose you feel fulfilled and have a clear sense of direction in your life. You are more in the higher flow of life and you let go of the struggle, enjoying the bliss that Joseph Campbell is talking about:

“If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there the whole while, waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living.”     —Joseph Campbell

Your soul knows your purpose

That is your reason for being here at this place and at this time. Your soul wants to grow in love and light (wisdom). So, we incarnate in order to have experiences that help us do that. Part of that growth is being in service to others in some way. It’s important not to judge the importance of what your purpose is. Your purpose could be working with animals, plants or the environment. It may be within your family or in the arts. Whatever it is, it’s always about your soul’s growth.

Your Soul’s Purpose may be found in anything

Purpose may be found in a career or be expressed in other pursuits and even in a state of being. For example, when you are coming from an open heart in your interactions, in the flow and staying centered, that is growth. And it is purpose.

It’s important to realize you don’t have a soul, you are a soul that has a body temporarily. You are an eternal creator being.

Be willing to listen to and follow your inner guidance—which means listen to inner urges to do what feels delightful, fulfilling and meaningful to you.

We have free will, so really there isn’t anything you have to do. However, deep within there is something you want to do that will be deeply satisfying.

Your Purpose Will Be Something You Enjoy

Our purpose is something that is going to feel great. In thinking back over your life, was there a time when you thought, “Wow, it just seemed so natural for me to do that!”  That is a clue to your purpose. What times were you particularly happy? Your purpose will always be something you love to do.  What activities do you enjoy, that make time seem to fly by? Where do you feel the best?  Cultivate a sense of playfulness as you explore the idea of purpose! The more you are easy about it, the more tuned in to your higher guidance you’ll be.

In the end, you are the only one who can say what your purpose is. No one else can tell you. I’m happy to help with introducing you to tools that can help you tune into your purpose, but your purpose is something for you to discover, feel it and come to the exciting point of saying, “Yes! That’s it!”
